Homeowner permits
Henderson says that if you are the registered owner of the home and it is your primary residence, you may pull your own building permits. There are certain stipulations you must agree to before the permits are issued. (source: City of Henderson Building and Fire Safety)
A Henderson homeowner who pulls their own permits may prepare their own drawings and plans, without consulting an architect or designer, as long as the plans are legible and Building and Fire Code compliant. (source: City of Henderson Building and Fire Safety)
These Henderson policies do not apply to owners of rental properties or owners of commercial properties. In those cases, a licensed contractor must be hired to perform all work and must be listed as the contractor of record on the permits. (source: City of Henderson Building and Fire Safety)
The City of Henderson Building and Fire Safety Department issues permits and performs plans check and inspections for conformity to building codes. (source: City of Henderson Building and Fire Safety)
We have not yet verified Henderson's own permit list for HVAC work, so ask Building and Fire Safety what your job needs before you start.
