HVAC permits
Clark County says every equipment change out needs a permit and an inspection of the final installation, even swapping a 4 ton unit for a 4 ton unit. Relocating or adding duct work in a single-family home also needs a permit, with the work left open until it is inspected. (source: Clark County Department of Building and Fire Prevention)
Clark County Simple Online Permits need no plan review and are issued through the Citizen Access Portal, which requires an account. They are limited to these items: (source: Clark County Department of Building and Fire Prevention)

- Residential mechanical: A/C furnace replacement under 5 tons, condenser pump combo replacement, and furnace replacement (one appliance per permit).

- Simple online permits are not renewable. Items in a manufactured home are permitted by the Nevada Manufactured Housing Division.

Clark County's minimum code requirement for a dryer exhaust vent is 14 feet with no more than two 90 degree elbows; each extra elbow takes 2 feet off the maximum. It must end in a non-screened eyebrow termination with a backdraft damper. A dryer model that allows a longer run must be in place at final with its installation instructions on site.
