The Board's Recovery Fund pages describe the fund as being for owners of single-family residences who contracted with a licensed contractor, and explain the claim steps and limits. (source: Nevada State Contractors Board) (source: Nevada State Contractors Board)

A residential contractor must include a written Recovery Fund notice in the contract. The Board can fine a contractor up to $250 for a first failure and up to $500 for later ones (NRS 624.520). (source: Nevada Legislature)
